Hi, Fina!

I’m Lily, and it’s very nice to meet you. I am Chinese and from San Francisco. I live in San Mateo, a city near San Francisco, with both of my parents and my younger sister, Judy. Although the city I live in is very small, there is a lot to do here. In my free time, I like to go bowling, ice skate, watch movies in the theatre, and go shopping. Other times, during the weekend, I go to San Francisco with my family and visit my other relatives, look at the things in the shops, and buy food. What do you like to do in your free time?

As you will probably know from my other post, I am a student at Aragon High School. I take my studies seriously. Mostly, I am interested in science. I love to learn about how our body works and other things. For more about me, read my post on the other blog!

Hi José! My name is Arnold Yim. Since we have the same topic for the first post, this post will be very similar to my post in spanish. I was born in Singapore and I am seventeen years old. I have two older sisters and an older brother. My parents and siblings are born Hong Kong. I lived in Singapore during my childhood and when I was six years old, my family moved to the United States. When we moved to the United States, we decided to live in San Mateo (a city near San Francisco). My parents were worried about my safety and insisted that I learn Kung Fu. Right now I have a black belt. I live near my high school and I walk to the school each morning. I attend a high school called Aragon High School, and this year is my last year in high school. I know how to speak and to write in three languages and am learning Spanish. I like my class of Spanish a lot but my favorite subject is mathematics. I’ve taken several college level math courses like Ordinary Differential Equations and Linear Algebra . I also like engineering and I am currently the president of a robotics club at my school. Every year we compete at a regional event and we usually do really well. Heres a picture of what the robot we are building looks like, we are not complete yet.

The objective of the robot is to launch balls inro a hoop.

Hi, my name is Michelle and I live in San Mateo, it is around 20 to 30 minutes from San Francisco. I am 17 years old and excited to be going to San Jose State University next year. I love living here because I like to go to San Francisco on the weekends with my parents. I am an only child and I like it most of the time, but sometimes I would like to have a brother or sister but for the moment I have a pet lizard, a lepard gecko. I am very close to my parents and they are from Puerto Rico. My parents grew up in Puerto Rico and all our family lives there.

Some interests of mine are reading, watching movies and traveling. When I finish my homework in the afternoon I just love to read to relax. Mostly I read fantasy novels and mystery. On the weekends I rent whatever new movie is available and just watch it at home. My favorite movie is Sweet Home Alabama, but I watch mostly any type of movie. I love learning new languages and would like to travel more when I am older, but for now I plan to go to France this summer to visit some friends. So I wanted to know what kind of dancing you like? Have you been dancing for long? What are your favorite movies? I hope to hear from you soon and sorry it took me a while to respond to your first post. Take care!
