Hi Clara! In this BLOG I will be writing about my hometown, even though I think I’ve already told you quite a bit! Hehehe, but anyway… here in San Mateo, we have a lot of schools, including a community college. I myself live within a one mile radius of three schools! There isn’t a lot of crime but sometimes there are robberies and petty things like that. I once got my car broken into. Luckily, the police caught the burglars and I got my stuff back, but it was still quite a shock. in san mateo, the most common thing that teenagers do is to go downtown. Downtown, there is a movie theatre, coffee shops, restaurants of a variety of ethnic foods, pool halls, bars (not that we can go in hehe), and a train station that enables us to travel out of this somewhat boring town. and there are also two popular parks ( along with a bunch of small ones) that kids like to go to. Sometimes I like to go play basketball with my boyfriend there. But we don’t really play, we just shoot the ball around and other goofy things. San Mateo is a great town for families because of our abundance of schools, parks, and recreation centers. How is your town? When you go out for fun, do you usually travel outside of your town, or do you usually just stay within your town?

Hi Clara. It’s hard for me to find time for hobbies, but I when I do have time, I like to run, draw, sleep, eat, cook, hang out with my friends, and see my boyfriend. I don’t know if I could consider all of these “hobbies,” but it’s what I like to do. hehehe. When I am bored on the weekends, I like to cook. My favorite type of cooking is baking. I love baking different kinds of cookies, and I think I am pretty good at it My friends love it when I surprise them with cookies. I try baking cakes and pies but they are just so hard! They seem to always crumble when I put frosting on them! But I can make a MEAN turtle cheesecake. It’s sooo goood! My mouth is watering just from thinking about it! Besides baking, I also love trying new recipes from my magazines. I guess that’s another hobby of mine: reading magazines. I like health magazines and, I am ashamed to say, I also love celebrity gossip magazines! I’m so ashamed! Lol. But I can’t help it! Hehehe. What are your hobbies? Do you do a lot of hobbies with your husband?

Hi Clara. I don’t have a “true” job but I do make money from babysitting (watching other people’s kids). I make a lot of money from it, and I have two families that I babysit for regularly. I usually babysit about 2 or 3 times a week, but it is not always consistent. It is nice to get paid in cash, but at the same time it is bad for me because I have trouble saving my money when I have cash. When I used to work at a restaurant, I received paychecks instead of cash, and I was able to save all of my paychecks since I just simply put them in my bank account. Oh well! One of the families I babysit has two kids. One is an eight -year-old boy and the other is a baby girl. They are adorable! And in the other family, there is a five-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl. They are very cute! But kids can also be very troublesome! But kids will be kids. I like babysitting though because I feel like I get paid to play with some kids. Do you have a job? If you do, do you like it?

I live with my mom and dad and my two younger sisters. I also have two older half-sisters. Starting with the oldest, their ages are twenty nine, twenty four, fifteen, and twelve. I have a pretty big immediate family. OH, and I also have a nephew who is nine years old. I also have three cousins who live in Arizona with my aunt from my dad’s side. Everyone on my mom’s side lives in Cambodia so I have never met them before. Isn’t that crazy!? Her parents died when she was young. But my dad’s parents are still alive and live in Florida. I love going to my grandma’s house because she lives 3 blocks away from the beach! So when I’m there, I walk to the beach a lot. I love it because the water is soooo warm compared to the beach water here, like in Half Moon Bay or San Francisco. How is your family?

I’m here again. In this composition I’m going to tell you about my hobbies.

I like going for a walk in the mountain. When you are in the country side, you can relax, because all is calm. It’s a great sensation.

I like to do jigsaws too. You spend a lot of time but it is very entertaining or very irritating when you don’t find the correct piece. When the jigsaw is finished you are very excited. It’s a good moment. The problem is the following: What do you do with jigsaws ? The first thing you hang up on the wall at home, is a jigsaws. But A wall full of jigsaws is not very beautiful, then, you have to ask your family or friends if they like them to give them some. Not everybody likes them!

Sometimes I make cross-stitch for the kids of the family or friends.
The last hobby I have is relax and have a nice time with family and friends.

Now, I talk about my family.

My new family is small, because it is formed by my husband and I. We married twenty-one months ago. Now it is an interesting way of life to me.

When you are married life is very hard and tired, because you must go to buy things, and do the laundry, make dinner and lunch, put the rubbish out, and finally we must clean the house. We hate cleaning, but it is necessary to do it… this is the problem…! And we also have to do our English homework!!!!!

When we don’t have to do something at home, we love relaxing and see a movie in the sofa and we like going out at the week-end or holidays.

I have a brother and a sister, both are older than me.

My sister has two daughters, their names are Alba and Lucia. Alba is four years old and Lucia is two. They are very funny. The little one is beginning to talk and sometimes it is very difficult to understand her, but you laugh a lot of with her.

My brother is single. He lives very well in our father’s home.

I have a sister in law too. She is married and she has a son. His name is Joel and he is nine months old.

Hello!

I’m a teacher in a primary school. My school is in Prat de Llobregat. I’m lucky, because it’s near my home and I don’t get up early every day. I go to work by foot and I arrive in five minutes.

I make a sport class. I like children and sport, and I enjoy with my work, but some days it’s very hard because the students don’t listen to me and they don’t do the correct exercises. But when I win the lottery I will not work again.
