Hometown

hey javi hows it going?

Its been pretty good in the United States this past week. Many of us are getting accepted into excellent colleges and universities and everyone is very excited to pursue their goals after high school. Of course, many of us will be dispersing all over the country and leaving our hometown of San Mateo, California. San Mateo, I would say, is my hometwon, but I was born in San Francisco and lived there for 7 years. San Mateo isn’t actually very exciting. It is a little suburb around 20-30 minutes away from San Francisco (depending on the traffic). On the weekends, there are a wide variety of activities to emerse yourself in. You could go bowling, ice skating, watch movies, go to the mall, and many other common American teenage activities. Although, if you’re a student, like me, who doesn’t have a steady income, you’ll stick to cheaper activities like just hanging out with friends at their houses or finding something free to do like play some baseball at the park. It has been a bit too cold and rainy for many of these outdoor activies lately, but the weather is getting a little better, I hope. The temperatures usually quite moderate, but it does get quite rainy in the fall and winter seasons. The springs are nice and the summers usually don’t get too unbearably hot. I think San Mateo is a great town with awesome people which i will definitely miss when i go away for school. Well, Javi, I have much more to do tonight, it has been great talking with you.

MY HOBBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Javi, hows it goin’ friend? Life in San Mateo is excellent, i must say. So, i believe today’s topic is Hobbies. Yes, Hobbies. I don’t believe i have that many hobbies. I love doing active things like playing sports. I love basketball ( even though i am absolutely terrible at it — no joke), tackle football, wrestling, baseball, and anything of that sort i’d fancy. I also love music. I have no clue where we’d be if we didn’t have that great stuff. I love playing guitar and singing. Although i’m not too great at either i enjoy doing it anyways. soooo what kinda stuff are you interested in Javi?

Family

Greetings Javi,

How have you been my Spanish friend? I hope life is treating you well. Let me take a momment to tell you about my family . . . It consists of my mother, my father, and of course my slightly eccentric, yet lovable, little brother. My mother, brother, and sometimes my grandmother live in San Mateo in a quaint, little four bedroom home. My mom works for an airline company and is an amazing woman of 39. She is quite mellow and enjoys watching chinese soap operas, singing kareokee, and much, much more. She is a pettite woman around 5′0′’ and SINGLE!!!! So, if you’re ever in need of a date you could always call her up. Just kidding. My brother is 11, I believe. He has just entered junior high and loving, hopefully. He’s quite the odd ball, I would say. He enjoys videogaming, drawing(he takes art lessons), and a variety of other little boy activities. My grandmother, who drops by occasionally, is also quite eccentric. She is quite robust and has a very bubbly personality. She loves to cook authentic chinese cuisine when she’s around. I don’t enjoy the food that much, but i’m sure its great. Lastly, my father lives in San Jose. Although, he does work in San Mateo, so i see him quite often. He is always great to chat with and get some fatherly advice from. Don’t be fooled by his title of “father,” he is just as immature as I am. I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse of my wonderful family. Write back soon.

Farewell
Irving

My Job

Hey Javi

How’re things in Spain been? So anyways, I don’t hold a job currently. I was planning on getting one during the spring to make some extra cash for college, but i’m not sure if i will anymore because of other activities. However, i have had a couple jobs before. I usually work during the summer to make some pocket money. At my first job, i worked as a cashier at a barbeque resturant called Armadillo Willy’s. If you ever come to San Mateo go there on Monday nights and get their all you can eat ribs. My record for most ribs eaten in a night without barfing is 21. Try and beat that homie. The job wasn’t that great. You had to stand around all day and smell the sweet aroma of barbeque, but couldn’t eat it. You also end up smelling like it all day so thats a bit unattractive. My second job was working for my dad at a supermarket. I had to be a checkstand cashier at an asian supermarket which is even worse than the barbeque place. The people always argue over the price of produce and what not because they think i’m scamming them or something. Its all good though because at then end of the day as long as you make the money all the trouble would have been worth it. Whats your job like, Javi? Alas, i must go write my spanish post. So, until next time

Good day to you son (since you told me not to call you sir)
