My Job

I don’t have a job yet, but I plan on getting one by this summer. I want to work in either one of my favorite restaurants, or a sports store. I want to work in a sports store because I want the discounts on the more expensive sporting items that I buy. My dream job would be to work as a marine biologist in an underwater laboratory. I have always enjoyed studying marine life, so I figure that being a marine biologist is the best choice for me.
Though I have never held a job, I have always volunteered at local community centers and for organizations of all types. It brings me joy to be able to help others, and to help the city. I think I want to continue my volunteer work even after I get a job.

My Family

I live in a four person family. My parents immigrated here from Hong Kong before I was born, and they decided to start their new life here, in San Mateo, California. They choose San Mateo over any other location because the Bay Area is a nice place to live in, plus we had more relatives here than anywhere else in the US. I have one older sister who is attending the University of California, Davis, and then theres me. I attend Aragon High School. Both of my parents work in San Francisco, a city close to San Mateo. My mom works under one of the richest people in Hong Kong, and my dad is the head of the office for Raymond Express International. My mom works in property management, and my dad works at a freight forwarding company.

Hi, I’m Trevin

Hi, my name is Trevin. I am seventeen years old, and a senior at Aragon High School. I have lived in San Mateo, California all my life and i enjoy living here in the Bay Area. My hobbies are reading, playing sports, and pretty much anything that relates to outdoors activities. I enjoy outdoor activities because I like nature and animals a lot. I go biking on trails a lot with my dad, and go camping a lot too. One of my favorite outdoors activities is fishing. I love studying fish and one day, I hope to become a marine biologist. Here in San Mateo, the weather is decent year round, although there is not much to do. San Mateo is more like a residential city. To find fun things to do, you have to go to San Francisco or some places near San Mateo. I read your post about your job and i think that it is very cool that you are a physical education teacher for young kids. I love working with young kids. Over the summer, when i don’t have school, I volunteer at local community centers to be a counselor for kid camps. The kids i work with range from one year old to sixth grade students.
Well, it has been fun writing to you so far, and i can’t wait for your next post.

Bye,
Trevin
